Latest Versions of Browsers.

I took "the Challenge" and downloaded Internet Explorer 9  today.

Hmmm... funny, how all of the browsers used to have all kinds of Menu's everywhere, showing you your options.  The latest trend is not to show you anything except for 3 or four icons which will take you to the menu's that we used to have.  Good thing I got to practice with the old browsers.  Wonder how folks who are new to this stuff will figure out where their settings are?  Or the fact that they actually *have* settings!  (lol)

I was afraid that it might be "buggy" since it hasn't been around that long (has it? ;).  But it seems to be quite stable.  And I like the wide viewing area that it has.

Funny thing is that I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Firefox (buggy imho), and Google Chrome (finally caught up with the technology of games played on FB  imho  ;) before I downloaded the latest version of IE.  Even though IE is my main browser.  I was afraid to mess it up with a new version... lol.

I downloaded Firefox and Chrome because I needed secondary browsers in order to play all of my gaming accounts at FaceBook.... lol

Ahhh, the intrecacies of Online game playing!  (grin)

And where did my "spell check" go at this site?  hmmm .... ;)

Returning to Posterous

I have spent a very long time playing games on Facebook.  I've built up 5, yes five farms at Farm Town!  (lol)  YoVille now has 5 of my accounts also.  The only one I paid real money for was Farm Town, and a wee bit for Yoville.

What started all of this?  Well, it was the death of my husband in 2009. If every writer needs a muse, then mine ,must have been my husband.  Lost  him, and I lost my imagination, I guess.

Now, I'm finally starting to feel less depressed, and I can think about other subjects, without returning to how he slowly passed away to Cancer... Ugh!  If you've gone through this with a loved one, then you know what I mean.  If you haven't, then thank your lucky stars, and forget about it ... for now.

I'm hoping to be able to write again?!  :)
Well, we'll see what happens, and if anyone is left who is still reading my blog ... lol

Was just listing to Joni Mitchell's song again.  The seasons go round and round ... yep, started listening to that song when I was in my 20's and now my own son is 26.  Can't do anything but look behind and keep going ... on and on ... in the circle game.

How are y'all doing in your own "Circle Games"?

Massachusetts Senatorial Race, Tuesday January 19, 2010

Boy, do I feel important!  Today I got a telephone call from President Obama.  Well, O.K. so it was a recorded message.  :)

Still, our states election for a new U.S. Senator to replace Ted Kennedy, has taken on a turn of importance, unknown to any election of it's kind, in the history of this state.

We are being barraged by advertisements from all sorts of political groups.  Even Presidents Obama and former president Clinton, have come (or are coming) to support Martha Coakley, the Democratic Parties Nominee.

She is running against Scott P. Brown, whom some have compared to a "Ken Doll".  (lol)  Not so funny really because we all know that handsome looking people have a better chance of being elected.

Not that Martha isn't good looking, she is.  But she's following in the footsteps of Ted Kennedy, and Scott Brown, has launched his "Grass Roots" campaign, against her.  He's playing "The good old boy" card; or in this case, the good *young* father card.  He drives a truck, to get around on his campaign trail…  well,  a large group of young folks can relate to that, can't they?!
He's gathering all of those voters who want to see *change* in a big way.

So I received the above card in the mail today, which I thought was rather creative  (lol).  Brown has been voting more Republican, than Liberal (which he claims his view are).

Why all the ado?  Well, the vote of this senator, once they are elected; could make or break President Obama's much fought for Health Care Bill!

Pretty scary, isn't it?!!!  Is my one vote going to help?

Just in case, I urged DS (Dear Son) to go and vote.  He didn't bother with the Primary (sigh)….
Suddenly his enthusiasm perked up when I told him that it was about the Health Care Bill which they have been attempting to formulate for so long.  Wanted to know which one was *for* the health care bill (sigh).

Then again, I remember being young and not giving a hoot about politics either.  Guess paying taxes, etc. makes one pay closer attention to things like that!

If you are a registered voter in Massachusetts, please go out and vote next Tuesday.

CFS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Someone asked me the other day what CFS is.

Today I found a very good video explaining it here:

Just trying to spread the word, "Yes, it does exist!"

"And yes, it really is a lousy condition to be in!"

Before I contacted it I led a life... since then, I mostly *watch* life via the Internet! (grrr)

Plymouth Harbor Camera Test

Yesterday I took a side trip to test my camera.  Or maybe I should say, to test the operator!  (heeh)   Anyway, I'm impressed by all of the great photos my friends are taking; not to mention the great blogs some write every day.   My Chronic Fatigue keeps me from having any fun.  So yesterday, when I drove down Rout 3 to BJ's Wholesale to do some food shopping, I took my camera with me and drove down to Plymouth center afterwards.    It wasn't far to go.  Both roads are off exit 5.  BJ's is off to the right, and Plymouth Center is off to the left.  Even a person with little energy can make both trips at once.  ;)   As I was starting out, I realized that my vision was giving me problems again.  Everything looked kind of blurry, and I had to wear my glasses while I was driving.  They're not always necessary (while driving), just when my eyes bother me.   By the time I got my camera out, I realize that I was going to have major problems seeing anything that I was focusing on!  (groan)   If I looked at the display, with my sunglasses, it wouldn't show at all.  Without the sunglasses, I'm blind as a bat due to my sensitivity to light.   Finally opted to use the view finder, the old fashioned way.  But my eyes had problems focusing.  Everything I saw was sort of a shadow of what the viewfinder displayed.  Ergo, my aim is off a bit.  I never would have cut off the tail end of the paddle boat, had I been able to see properly!

But I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the pictures actually came out!  (lol)

Now I'm experimenting with my Paint Shop Pro in resizing the photos.  Am also playing around with the Auto Up loader at Multiply.

So many features to try out, so little energy!  :Þ~~~~~~~

Well, lets see how this turns out.

Imagine - The World Will Live As One

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Finally ... A New Episode of "The Closer"!

Closer

Tonight we'll be able to see a new episode of one of my favorite T.V. shows!  (yeah)

The Closer broadcast by TNT at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The reason I like Brenda so much is that she is an empowered woman. Even if the producers do have her acting somewhat "ditzy" at times.  (lol)

Detective shows have always been my favorite type of drama.  This one has humor mixed in.  Love the characters!

Raenie's Space

The liveness in me just loves to feel
the liveness in growing things,
in grass and rain and leaves and flowers
and sun and feathers and furs
and earth and sand and moss.
